Parks Victoria, in partnership with a number of key agencies and stakeholders, is inviting comment on the St Kilda Harbour Concept Plan.
Parks Victoria (Committee of Management for the harbour area) jointly with the Department of Sustainability and Environment and City of Port Phillip (CoPP) has prepared a concept plan for redevelopment of the St Kilda Harbour precinct.
Representatives from the Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron, Tourism Victoria and the St Kilda Harbour Breakwater Advisory Committee have had input to the plan.
The St Kilda Harbour Concept Plan will protect marine environmental values associated with the harbour, introducing exciting elements to the precinct including a sea pool integrated into the new pier, a penguin viewing boardwalk and will improve access along the foreshore. The plan creates an environmentally sustainable safe harbour for recreational boating and enhances non-boating related use of the harbour, including access to the water for people with limited mobility.
Parks Victoria is inviting comment on the concept plan until 26 September. The concept plan can be viewed on this website or alternatively at the following locations;
