Spotlight Walk

Shining Eyes!
On a spotlight walk eyeshine is usually the first sign that there are nocturnal animals about. Even tiny spiders have shining eyes that stand out amongst the dark bush like diamonds.

Some animals have eye-shine of a certain colour. Possums have red eyes, spiders have yellow or green.

Move the mouse over the eyes!

What animals do they belong to?

Clock Night or Day Draw a picture of a koala asleep. Show, on the clock, what time it is.

Draw a sun or moon to show if it is day time or night time.

Possum Stories
Lots of people have their own stories to tell about nocturnal animals. Like possums climbing through bedroom windows or a bat in a shade house. Write about, or draw a picture of an experience you have had.
Clock Draw a picture of a rosella asleep. Show, on the clock, what time it is.
